The web version of Gmail has been updated: what has changed and how to enable it

Google officially presented an updated version of the mail service gmail with new features. Gradually, it will become available to each of 1,4 billion users. gmailtransmits VC.

Privacy mode Allows the sender to set the validity period of the message, after which the letter disappears from the recipient's box. The letter itself comes to the interlocutor as a link to view the message or content that can not be sent, copied and printed. The recipient can open the contents via gmail or look through an external HTTPS link if it uses another mail service.

Postponing letters. You can postpone incoming letters - they will disappear from the mailbox for a while and return to it within the specified time period, reappearing at the top of the list. This feature was previously available in inbox and third-party mail client.

A new menu of guidance allows you to speed up work with incoming letters without opening. They can be archived, deleted, marked as read or postponed.

Reminders of letters. If the user misses a letter that requires urgent action or response by a certain date, gmail will remind you of it, raising it to the top of your inbox. The function is called Nudge.

Toolbar. On the right side of the interface gmail there was a panel with "Google Calendar", service notes Keep and task list. You can work with them without leaving the mail and without opening a new tab in the browser. And the left navigation panel can be minimized - this will give more space for working with letters.

Other new features:

• Offline mode - allows you to work with letters without an internet connection.
• Smart Reply - offers options for short answers based on the text of the letter. This feature is already working in the mail service. Google inbox and in mobile applications gmail.
• Google also reworked the phishing email alerts with malicious attachments. The warning window has become larger, and the text itself is clearer.

Google Added new features to the Gmail mobile app. The service offers to set notification priorities using artificial intelligence - the user will be able to indicate which letters need to be warned and which ones can be viewed later. gmail may also suggest to refuse some mailings: using the AI, the service analyzes the number of letters received by the mailing from one sender and compares with how many of them the user has read.

Mashable writes that you can switch to the new version by clicking “Try new gmail"In the service settings. The vc.ru editor could not find such an option.
