Zelensky said that he very much hopes that the United States will join the Normandy format of negotiations on the conflict in eastern Ukraine, counts on guarantees from the United States on Nord Stream 2 and Washington's greater involvement in the integration of Ukraine into NATO.

The first day of his visit to the United States was very productive for Zelensky. He managed to meet with several heads of departments, talk and cooperate, and even sign several documents.

Now the partnership between the United States and Ukraine has expanded in the military, energy and space sectors.

The President attended meetings with the head of the US Department of Energy Jennifer Grönholm, the head of the US Department of Defense Lloyd Austin, the President of the World Bank Group David Malpass and the head of NASA Bill Nelson.

Lloyd Austin said that the United States will provide additional assistance to ensure the security of Ukraine. The country will receive $ 60 million, as well as brand new Javelin portable anti-tank missile systems.

Separately, Austin expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian military, who showed heroism and fortitude in the evacuation of people from Afghanistan.
