Vakarchuk announced the creation of his party, which goes to the parliamentary elections in Ukraine

Ukrainian musician and public figure Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, leader of the group “Okean Elzy”, announced on May 16 the creation of his party “Voice”, with which he will run in elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

According to Vakarchuk, it is in the parliament that major changes occur in Ukraine, so he decided to participate in the fight for deputy mandates, writes “Currently,".

“I have good news for you today. We are creating political power. The Party of Real Change. We called this party “Voice”. And today a new voice will sound in Ukraine - my voice, your voice, our voice. And with your help, I will lead the “Voice” party to the parliamentary elections,” Vakarchuk said at the presentation of his political force.

Among the members of his party Vakarchuk called:

• ex-deputy minister of justice Julia Klimenko;
• activist Yaroslav Yurchishin;
• Ukrainian military Andrei Sharaskin;
• Professor Yuri Sokolov;
• ex-head of the Odessa Regional State Administration Solomiya Bobrovskaya.

According to the artist, the Verkhovna Rada, where important decisions are made for every Ukrainian, has turned into a “toxic swamp that sucks in the future.”

“We have to change this,” he said.
