In Utah, on a road near Bryce Canyon National Park, a bus with foreign tourists crashed. As a result of the accident, 4 people died, at least 15 - received serious injuries, police said.

The bus crashed into a fence and rolled over on its side, writes Fox News. The accident happened around 11: 30 in the morning near the highway stop at 7 miles (about 11 km) from the park entrance.

Photos from the Garfield County Sheriff’s office show that the top of the white bus is badly wrinkled, with large metal parts of the case lying on the side of the road next to traffic signs.

All 30 people on the bus, including the driver, were injured. At least 7 of them are in critical condition, Denise Dastrup, spokeswoman for the Garfield County Sheriff Department, told Fox News.

The Utah Highway Patrol tweeted that 12 to 15 people suffered "very serious injuries" and that the tourists on the bus were "speaking Chinese." A further 10 people suffered injuries ranging from "minor to serious".

The injured were sent to three hospitals. An Intermountain Garfield Memorial Hospital spokesperson tweeted that 17 patients were admitted to a small institution in the tiny town of Panguitch. Of these, three people were in critical condition, 11 - in serious condition, three - in satisfactory. Patients were also taken to Cedar City and St. George.

Police urged civilians to stay away from the area near Utah State Route 12 (SR-12) while several ambulances and rescue teams worked there. Dastrup said the cause of the accident was not yet clear, but the bus was "severely damaged."

According to the National Park Service website, Bryce Canyon has the world's largest concentration of irregular rock columns called hoodoos. The park, located approximately 300 miles (over 480 km) south of Salt Lake City, attracts more than 2 million visitors a year.
