USCIS announces registration dates for H-1B work visa lottery
Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) announced that the initial registration period for the FY1 H-2022B Worker Visa Lottery will open at noon ET on March 9 and will run until noon ET on March 25. During this period, potential applicants and representatives will be able to provide information about the applicant and beneficiary and register.
Each registration will be assigned a confirmation number. This number is used solely for tracking registrations; it cannot be used to monitor the status of a case online.
Prospective applicants or their representatives must use the myUSCIS online account to electronically register each beneficiary in the selection process and pay the appropriate H-1B registration fee of $ 10 for each registration filed on behalf of each beneficiary.
Prospective applicants filing their own registrations (U.S. employers and U.S. agents, collectively known as “registrants”) will use a registrant account, which will be available shortly.

Reps can add customers to their accounts at any time, but both reps and registrants must wait until March 9 to enter recipient information and pay fees. Potential applicants or their representatives will be able to apply for registrations for multiple beneficiaries in one online session. Through the account, they will be able to prepare, edit and save draft registrations before final payment and submission of each registration.
If the Citizenship and Immigration Service receives a sufficient number of registrations by March 25, it will randomly select registrations and send notifications of selection through the online accounts of myUSCIS users by March 31.
An application for participation can only be submitted by those whose registration for a specific beneficiary has been selected during the H-1B registration process. Additional information, step-by-step registration instructions and helpful videos are available at H-1B electronic registration process page.

USCIS also announced that the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is postponing the effective date of the final rule for the H-1B selection process until December 31, 2021. USCIS will apply current rules (random selection) to the initial registration period and any subsequent period related to FY2022, which takes place before December 31, 2021.
