Trump-style burger bar opens in Texas: the place has become a hit among tourists
Donald Trump-style burger restaurant in Texas is a hit with tourists and locals alike. Insider.
Roland Baini, a second-generation Lebanese-American and Trump supporter, told the Houston Chronicle that he discovered a restaurant in Bellville, Texas in 2020, one year after returning to the US after living in Lebanon for several years.
“Being an immigrant from a place where everything is bad and you work for $200, you see that someone is supporting the country and improving the economy. As an entrepreneur, I appreciate what Trump has done,” he told the newspaper.
Restaurants with political themes may be divisive, but the numbers look in favor of Baney, given that Trump won almost 80% of the vote in Austin County, home of Bellville, in 2020.

One local told the Chronicle that he wasn't very political but enjoyed eating there during services and found the design amusing, while another said the restaurant was packed on weekends.
Trump's approval rating among Republicans is falling, with a recent New York Times poll showing his support at 49%. But he remains the favorite of the Republican Party. Indeed, Trump 2024 banners proudly hang in the restaurant.
Baney, meanwhile, told the Chronicle that he had to deal with the disadvantages of starting a Trump-themed business, with the second-highest final disapproval rating ever.
“In the beginning, we got a lot of bad calls from people who wanted to burn the place down,” Baney told the newspaper. “At first it was scary, but there are no more calls like this. We have a lot of fans, and not all of them are Trump supporters. They come for the food and the service.”
