A wild black bear tore the lid off a smoking hot tub at a Tennessee cottage and climbed inside to keep warm. It was filmed, writes The Daily Mail.

The clip, filmed in the Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee, captured the animal walking over a patio fence, jumping down and heading towards the hot tub.

Mason Treboni, who took this footage on March 20, was filming the cottage and his wife when he saw the bear climb into the territory.

The video shows the animal climbing a small ladder before jumping into a hot tub filled with warm water.

The vacationer said the bear sat in the jacuzzi for 15 minutes before getting out and returning to the nearest mountain.

The footage captured Treboni describing an amazing moment to another person, saying: "Look, this bear walked past my coffee, he is about to jump."

After being asked a question, he replies: “No, I didn’t tell him anything, this is a black bear, they are bad bears. They can be angry. And now he just got into the jacuzzi. OK. He warms up there, just great. I'm glad I haven't been to the jacuzzi. A wild black bear is basking in the jacuzzi. Incredible. "

Treboni then opens the patio door and walks outside while the bear swims to the other side of the steaming hot tub.

He later explains that the bear “played” with another animal near the hut before leaving his friend in search of a hot tub.

The video ends as the bear continues to relax in the jacuzzi and Treboni retreats to safety and closes the cottage door tightly.

The United States National Park Service estimates that there are about 1500 wild bears in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
