In the United States created a task force to study and counter UFOs
Defense Ministry officials announced the creation of a new UFO task force, reports New York Post.
Washington is stepping up efforts to investigate possible alien activity after officials admitted they could not explain the phenomenon of UFO sightings.
On November 23, officials said the Department of Defense is creating a new team tasked with locating and identifying UFOs in restricted airspace.
The group emerged after the intelligence community verified a series of unexplained aerial events discovered by the military earlier this year, but said it could not identify the mysterious machines in a report to Congress detailing the government's knowledge of UFOs.

The Aerial Targeting and Synchronization Team will replace the Navy's Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, a division of the military that began work last year to "improve UFO understanding," the press release said.
“The intrusion of any airborne object into our SUA creates air safety and operational concerns and may also create national security concerns,” the department wrote.
"The Department of Defense is very serious about reports of incursions of any detected or unidentified airborne object and is investigating each of them," added the officials of the department.
Earlier this year, officials confirmed they had investigated 144 UFO sightings reported by government sources since 2004, including unexplained vehicles that were traveling at speeds of up to 691000 km / h and changing directions in no time.
According to the congressional task force's report, most of the incidents - such as the near-daily sightings of UFOs harassing a warship near San Diego in 2017 - were not part of US programs that they intended to keep secret.

Although the report contains little information on extraterrestrial phenomena, Congress still encouraged the government to improve the policies, training and technology needed to further research and understand unexplained air phenomena.
