In the US, protests took place after trump's election victory
Opponents of Republican Donald Trump staged pogroms in several US cities, refusing to recognize his election victory.
As the USA Today About fifty protesters passed through the center of Auckland, shouting slogans and setting fire to garbage cans. Another 300 people blocked several urban highways. One of the girls protesting was hit by a car, but otherwise there were no incidents.
Newspaper Oregon Live reports on a protest organized by students at the University of Oregon. According to one student, the protesters made several circles on campus and then marched through the city streets. Demonstrators burned paraphernalia with the Trump campaign slogan “Make America Great Again,” the newspaper notes.
In Seattle, a group of protesters blocked traffic, shouting “This is not our president!” They also set fire to trash cans, prompting fire brigades to be called.
In other cities, the scale of the protests was much smaller. The so-called silent protests took place, for example, in Los Angeles: several people in the central part of the city stood with placards "We are holding together."
Many celebrities decided to express their disagreement with the results of the elections held on the eve of the elections, and many of them even promised leave the country.
