More and more illegal immigrants are sneaking into the USA: how do they do it and what does the selfie have to do with it

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott sends hundreds of illegals across the border to New York, but those hundreds will become thousands for one reason: selfies. Smartphones are a powerful driver of illegal immigration. Selfies and videos taken by illegal immigrants who have already made their way to the United States give a sign to their acquaintances and friends in Central and South America that they are welcome here and will be given everything they need. Residents of Guatemala, Honduras and Venezuela use their phones to connect to chat rooms and social networks that serve as a real-time intelligence network.

The network reports on conditions along the way, when crossing the border, as well as violence, smuggling fees, especially the availability of free items such as clothes, food and shelter for those still on the road.

Intelligence networks don't just tell through text, they show. Often with photos and videos of real people from bus stations, on buses and in shelters with their belongings, checks and documents.

It works like any flash mob. Phones always show where the deportation and looting zones are so that the crowds walking behind can go the other way. You can even find out where to find friendly people and gifts, often exactly where and how to get them.

“I know this because I have met and interviewed thousands of US-bound immigrants as they made their way to the border, and at the border itself. People have repeatedly told me about their strong dependence on the telephone network,” said journalist Todd Bensman. “I have rarely seen supposedly poor migrants heading to the US without a modern mobile phone fully connected to the internet and social media. I noticed that they are in news photos of immigrants in New York homeless shelters.

“They invited me to their chat groups, where political news and the opening of border crossings are openly reported and discussed. Illegals showed me selfie content created by their friends, neighbors and compatriots as they documented their happiness in being in the US,” he explains. “In early June, I was in Del Rio, Texas, and watched as a lot of immigrants just arrived from the Rio Grande charter buses in cities across America take selfie videos of them smiling.”

If immigrants come to the same New York homeless shelters and non-profit stores that give away free goods and help, you can be sure that all this information reaches the Texas border and further influences decisions to go to New York for Abbott buses.

If knowledge is power and a picture is worth a thousand words, then nothing has more impact on the decisions and actions of illegals than video selfies uploaded from mobile phones. This is what caused and sustained the greatest mass immigration crisis in US history.

When Vice President Kamala Harris pleaded with immigrants during a visit to Guatemala last June, “Don't come! Don't come. If you come to our border, you will be turned back”, the traveling immigrants simply checked their phones and saw their friends, neighbors and relatives let through, then confidently surged forward in even more numbers.

When DHS Secretary Alejandro Mallorcas said in a March 2021 interview that parents should not send their children to cross the border alone because the journey is dangerous and that the border is closed, a flood of selfies displayed just the opposite.

It showed how the Americans provided every conceivable means of material support to every detained minor who was transported alone.

The phones then reported how the Americans were tracking down relatives and providing free government air transport with escorts to reunite them.
