US recalls canned shrimp because they can lead to botulism

Health officials noted that homemade canned, canned or fermented foods require additional preparation as they are a common source of foodborne botulism.
According to the recall notice, no medical conditions or "adverse effects" associated with the product have been reported to date.
“However, consumers should not use this product, even if it does not look spoiled or smell bad,” the company warned.
