The main advantage of digital licenses for motorists is that their license information is stored on a mobile device, and not on a card in a wallet that may be lost.

According to the developers, most drivers under the age of 40 will not have to return home if they forget their plastic license, but if they forget their phone, they will almost always return to pick it up.

There are also disadvantages: if the battery has a battery in the smartphone, then access to the rights will not be possible, at least until the phone is charged.

Information protection in such licenses has several levels. They are protected by a password and PIN codes in addition to other security features built into the phones, in addition, government agencies can remotely remove a digital license if the driver reports the loss of the device to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

If you have lost the plastic rights, then the finder will have all the data to steal your identity, and remotely remove them.

Getting a digital driver's license is currently entirely voluntary, and the states will continue to issue a traditional plastic card to all motorists, even if they received digital rights, so the motorists who do not have them will not face any problems.
