The Russian founded the service "aviataxi" in the US
For some passengers, the first class in the cabin is not a high enough level of flight, so they prefer to buy seats in private jets or helicopters.
For this it is very convenient to use the service JetSmarter, which is an analogue of Uber for private jets, writes New York Post.
“Lately, a lot of passengers are getting upgraded first class service, but usually you sometimes have to sit next to someone unpleasant,” says Oren Alexander, a 28-year-old SoHo resident who works in real estate.
He is among the wealthy New Yorkers, but not rich enough to buy his own plane, so he prefers to book seats on semi-private planes.
The monthly use of the JetSmarter service is 800 dollars, or 9 thousand dollars annually without restrictions on the number of flights in the United States plus 3 thousand dollars as an entrance fee.
According to the information on website, flight order is carried out through a special application for smartphones. There are three service categories available in iOS and Android service applications: JetDeals (simple booking of flights in one direction or another), JetShuttle (ordering one seat in a multi-seat private plane with a previously defined route) and JetCharter (fully personalized choice of route, direction and type aircraft).
Service users say they are ready to pay more for flights on semi-private planes, because on such flights they can be sure of the status of passengers flying with them, as well as consume alcohol and food in unlimited quantities and at their discretion. Moreover, in such flights you can walk around the cabin of the plane, when you decide what is not allowed during regular flights.
JetSmarter was founded by Russian Sergey Petrossov, currently living in Florida. In July, 2015, this service attracted $ 20 million in investment. The deal was attended by the royal family of Saudi Arabia, rapper Jay Z, as well as top managers of Goldman Sachs and Twitter.
In total, the company has attracted $ 47,8 million investment. They promise that these funds will go to launch flights on European routes, in particular, London-Paris and Paris-Geneva. In April, the company plans to include 2016 in the Hong Kong flight map, and at the beginning of 2017, in the year Moscow.
