In the US, invented a "smart dressing"
Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, and the University of Nebraska Lincoln have created clever ligation, through which wounds and skin lesions heal three times faster than with conventional medical devices used in this situation.
According to "Voice of America“, the smart dressing is the size of a postage stamp and is made from special fibers that contain antibiotics, painkillers and immune-boosting drugs to promote skin healing. The headband can be controlled using an electronic device such as a smartphone. An electrical signal heats the gel surrounding specific fibers. And they throw certain medications onto the affected area.
The first model of smart ligation will be used to fight diabetic ulcers. However, this system is able to use various medications, so it can treat various skin lesions. In particular, we are talking about healing of gunshot and other wounds.
