In the USA, children were sent to a correctional center for refusing to see their father
In the US, the Michigan State Court sent three children to a juvenile detention center. The reason for this was their refusal to see their father.
The age of two boys and girls from 9 to 14 years. Their parents divorced in 2009, but are still being sued for custody of their children.
The court ruled that the children stayed with their mother, but must see their father. They should regularly dine with him and communicate. But the sons and daughter did not want to see their father. One of the boys told the judge that his father was very cruel to his mother.
The judge regarded the children's refusal to meet with their father as an insult to the court. The children were sent to a so-called "children's village" in Pontiac, where about 200 juvenile offenders are housed. They were also forbidden to see their mother, arguing that she was turning the children against their father.
