In North Carolina, the father of six children ridiculously died playing with them on the beach
On July 19, a North Carolina man died after a powerful wave slammed his head into the sand while playing with his children on the beach—the 37-year-old father of six broke his neck and died in hospital.
The deceased, Lee Dingle, was 37 years old. His wife Shannon called the incident a “freak accident,” writes USA Today. Now friends are raising funds for Dingle's large family.
“My partner, my love, my loved one died today in a freak accident,” Shannon Dingle wrote in Twitter. — Yesterday Lee was playing on the beach with our three children. He was hit by a powerful wave, his head was thrown into the sand, and he broke his neck.”
She added: "Some heroes, including our children, tried to save him, but nothing worked - his body could not recover from this trauma."

Shannon Dingle shared a page GoFundMe, which she said was created by friends. The campaign had raised more than $183 as of mid-afternoon July 000 (with a goal of $22).
Earlier, a local TV station in North Carolina reported that a man aged 30 was pulled out of the water on Oak Island, he was taken to the intensive care unit of the Hannover Regional Medical Center.
Shannon Dingle tweeted that she was “stunned” by the support she received.
“We met when I was 18 and he was 19 and we’ve been together ever since,” she wrote. I shouldn't have said goodbye to him at 37 years old. I don't know adult life without him, but I will learn. I just wish I didn’t have to do this.”
Lee Dingle was the father of six children, four of whom were adopted as part of a project by the non-profit organization Archibald, designed to reduce the orphanage crisis worldwide.
