Starbucks San Francisco sued for under coffee
Two citizens filed a lawsuit in a California court against a Starbucks coffee shop, accusing its employees of under-serving coffee.
Siera Strumlauf and Benjamin Roubls assure that they didn’t get 25 coffee percent from the stated amount of the drink.
A federal judge in San Francisco accepted the suit for review, since “this is not the case when the alleged deception is simply impossible from the point of view of the law.” It is possible that latte consumers believe that the amount of drink in their glass should be measured without taking into account the volume of milk froth, the judge said.
Starbucks denies all charges.
“All our drinks are prepared manually, in accordance with the wishes of our customers. If a client is not satisfied with how his drink is prepared, we will be happy to make a new one, ”the company said in a statement.
This is not the first time Starbucks is suing for its drinks. A separate lawsuit in April was filed by Stacy Pinkus in Chicago. She accused the company of excessive amounts of ice in cold drinks, with the result that customers overpay a little more than half the amount given for a drink. Starbucks denies these allegations.
