In San Francisco, a man was selling fake green cards: what would that be?

A man from the Bay Area faces up to five years in prison after prosecutors accused him of selling fake green cards and social security cards, according to court records.

52-year-old Alejandro Ramos-Hernandez was accused of selling fake social security cards. The investigation began after 21 February 2018 of the year at a San Francisco international airport border guard agent recorded a fake green card from a Brazilian citizen. He said that he had bought the card from the seller, whose name was "Alex". After an undercover agent called Alex and pretended that he was looking for a social security card.

A few days later, they met at a store in San Francisco, and Alex gave the undercover agent a fake social security card for $ 240, the suit says.

A year later, on April 3, an undercover agent called Alex and made a second appointment to receive a green card and social security. They met at a bank where they exchanged documents for $ 600.

Later, investigators identified Alex as Ramos-Hernandez and arrested him.
