In 2019, an American court sentenced her to seven years in prison. Bogdana took her children from the USA to Russia. With a son from her first marriage, a daughter, and even a pregnant woman, she ran away from her husband, American Brian Mobley.

“I decided to go home, have a child, and then deal with divorces, division of property, and so on,” the woman says.

She says that her husband hurt her both morally and physically. And she did not contact the police, because, according to her, it was useless.

“There were photographs with bruises, but they refused, because allegedly two days had passed, that is, my appeal to the US legal system did not lead to anything,” Osipova explains.

Arriving in Russia, Bogdana returned to her hometown of Kaliningrad. The children communicated with their father, she did not forbid them to do so. But, she says, as soon as she filed for child support, her ex-husband and his already new wife “went to the FBI and filed a statement about the missing children. It was a year later, even more, after we left. "

The court decided that both children should live with their father - a US citizen. By the decision of the Russian court, it is impossible to take them abroad until they come of age. For another legal battle, Bogdana had to come from Kaliningrad to the States. It was then that she was detained.

“The United States judicial system works in such a way that foreign citizens, especially those who want to return to their homeland with minor children, will be unable to do so, because the United States court system will not allow a foreign parent, especially if it is a Russian mother. take the children to Russia, ”says lawyer Maria Yarmush.

The woman spent more than a year away from her children. My own aunt took custody of them.

According to Bogdana, in prison she was threatened because she is Russian: "You are Russian, we will show you, we will teach you."

In November 2020, she was released, but banned from leaving the United States. And already in January 2021, the court issued a demand: the woman must cancel the custody of the children, registered in the name of a relative, so that the father would take them to the United States.

But Russian diplomats intervened in the situation and returned the woman to the Russian Federation. The children ended up with their mother.

“If you want to marry a foreigner, agree in advance where the children will be registered and with whom they will stay in case of divorce. Sign marriage contracts in advance, ”explains Maria Yarmush.

Osipova herself, having been married to a foreigner and having lived in the United States for almost 20 years, says that she will never return there.
