In Russia, create a catalog of patriotic music

The Ministry of Culture of Russia creates a catalog of patriotic music.

The created registry will include from eight to ten thousand works of a patriotic orientation, created from the XVIII century to our days. The number of authors is estimated at 200 – 300 composers and about a hundred songwriters.

The catalog will contain the name of the composition, the history of its creation, as well as an audio file. The ministry stressed that before publishing the registry, it is necessary to resolve the issue of copyright, and then the use of audio files will be completely legal.

It is planned to spend 3,1 million rubles (44300 dollars) to create the catalog. It may appear before the end of November 2015.

The press service of the Ministry of Culture confirmed the fact of the creation of the catalog, but did not specify the details.

In June 2015, a draft regional law “On patriotic education” was submitted. In particular, he suggested the creation of a “data bank on the most effective programs of patriotic education.”
