The Russian film company Russian Film Group (RFG) is going to make a television series about the history of the ascension to the Russian throne of the Romanov dynasty, which will become the analogue of the popular American TV series “Game of thrones”. This was announced by the head of the film company Alexey Petrukhin.

“The project“ The Epoch of Blossom ”can be called an analogue of the“ Game of Thrones ”. We studied the business model of this series, talked with the creators of the "Game of Thrones". As in the American series, we will have several directors, several operators, each of whom will lead his story, follow “his” family, “his” characters, ”said Petrukhin.

According to him, the first season of the series about the Romanovs will be released at the beginning of 2018.

Total creators of the series plan to release 12 seasons on 12 series, the project will begin in Time of Troubles. The series will be preceded by a full-length feature film which will be released at the end of 2017.

The artistic director of Epoch of Blossom will be made by director Oleg Stepchenko, who filmed Viy 3D, the scriptwriter, according to Petrukhin, will be journalist and playwright Oleg Shishkin.

RFG is known for films such as Uchilka and Wii 3D.
