In Russia, schoolchildren will be taught using monopods
Moscow schools began to buy monopods (self-stick). This was reported to the agency "Moscow" by the director of the gymnasium number 1517 Anna Vakhneeva. According to her, this practice extends to other metropolitan schools.
“We use them in the framework of project and research activities. For example, when a scientific conference is held in the same school building, children use these selfie sticks to broadcast to other buildings, ”explained Vakhneeva.
Also monopods are used for running school social networks. According to the director, on the gymnasium's Instagram page, both teachers and students can post pictures.
In June, the public organization “For Security” asked the Ministry of Education and Science to conduct electives on safe self-education in schools.
The reason for this was a series of incidents when trying to take a selfie. In June, in the Rostov region, two girls were electrocuted while shooting a self-portrait on a tank car. In May, a Ryazan schoolboy crashed to death, trying to take pictures on the railway bridge. In the same month, a Chechen teenager was crushed by a concrete slab while trying to make a good shot.
