A whole village will be 3D printed in Russia: construction has already begun

Construction of a village has begun in Russia, which will be fully 3D printed. The settlement is being built not far from Yaroslavl; plots of land with a total area of ​​1,5 hectares have already been purchased for houses. The construction of the first house is now nearing completion, with a total of 12 houses in the village, printed using an S-300 field printer. The edition told in more detail RBC.

The project developer is the AMT company.

According to preliminary estimates, the cost per square meter is about $ 270. The price of a house with a total area of ​​46 sq. m without finishing will be $ 12.

These houses already have water, electricity and sewerage. All subsequent ones will also be connected to communications, put on cadastral records and made hotels at the AMT training center, where they teach construction on 3D printers.

The construction of a second house will allow an accurate construction schedule to be drawn up, showing significant savings in labor costs. Cottage with an area of ​​100 sq. m is planned to be assembled in 30 hours.

“3D construction printers make it possible to realize any fantasy of an architect: a printer doesn't care what it prints - a simple rectangular building or a house with curved facades, turrets and columns. And to automate the process as much as possible, due to which the construction time is reduced by one and a half times in comparison with the traditional one, ”says Alexander Maslov, General Director of AMT.

The first residential building on a 3D printer under the AMT-Spetsavia project was printed back in 2017, also in the Yaroslavl region. The building area was 300 sq. m. It was reported that the house was printed in parts and assembled at the construction site, like a designer.
