Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Volgograd on the day of the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad. How it all went, told TV channel "Rain.

Speaking to people, he remembered German tanks and threatened that the use of armored vehicles would not end the current war (most likely, hinting at nuclear weapons, but this is not certain).

The guard of honor laid flowers at the monuments. The ceremony was attended by honorary citizens of the hero city of Volgograd and representatives of the Yunarmiya youth movement, as well as veterans of the wars in Afghanistan and Chechnya.

The head of the Volgograd Regional Duma, Alexander Bloshkin, called Stalin, Zhukov and Vasilevsky "the architects of the Stalingrad victory."

“Today, in unfriendly countries, our monuments are broken, all the monuments that are associated with the name of the Soviet soldier are broken. In our country, a different course has been taken - to preserve the memory of the Great Patriotic War, ”Bloshkin said.

News about the intention of the Volgograd authorities to install busts of the Soviet leader and military leaders of the Second World War appeared at the end of January.
