The Federal State Statistics Service of Russia published a report that in the first six months of 2015, deliveries of condoms in the country increased by three percent compared to the same period of 2014. This was explained by the fact that Russians, due to the crisis, are increasingly refusing expensive hormonal contraceptives.

Low wages also force people to think more seriously about family planning. For many Russian families, a child is too “expensive.”

The increase in demand for condoms is also due to the fact that Russians “remembered” about their health. Against the backdrop of the crisis in the country, many realized that it is easier to prevent diseases than to treat them later.
