CVS pharmacy in Miami opened fire: one person was injured

Davy, Fla., On Wednesday, November 1, was shot at a CVS pharmacy chain. The cause was a male dispute, writes Sunsuitinel.

The shooting took place in a very busy area on the corner. University Drive and Griffin Road.

The officers say that everything began with a dispute between two men, followed by shooting, which resulted in one person being sent to hospital with gunshot wounds. He was operated on, but data about him is not disclosed yet.

More than a dozen officers arrived at the scene. The area was closed after a shooting report was prepared.

“Officers arrived within minutes and encountered a man leaving the store. He was quickly taken into custody and is being questioned at the Davie Police Department. Then they found a man with gunshot wounds,” said Maj. Dale Engle with Davie police.

This man was taken to a regional hospital in Hollywood.

“We are unsure of the circumstances surrounding the shooting at the store. We're talking to witnesses and gathering more information,” Engle said.

A man named Manuel, who was at the CVS pharmacy at the time, said that as soon as the shots rang out, everyone started to seek shelter. The shooter left the building and submitted to the demand to surrender.

Davy police could not tell what the two men were talking about, and whether this was due to an attempted robbery.

It is not known whether they know each other. The victim was not a CVS employee.

There is no word about charges against the shooter.
