A woman found a diamond in 8,52 carats in Arkansas Park
A resident of Longmont, Colorado, Bobby Oscarson, while walking through an Arkansas crater park in Murfreesboro, accidentally found a diamond.
Experts have already estimated its weight at 8,52 carats. Its length is six millimeters. The gemstone is the fifth largest among all those discovered in this park. Arkansas Crater Park opened in 1972. Experts have not yet announced the estimated value of the found diamond.
An employee of Arkansas Park, Waymon Cox, said that Bobby found the 24 gem in June in the southwestern part. Its total territory is 15 hectares.
Bobbie named the diamond after her niece "Esperanza", which means "hope".
The largest diamond was found in Arkansas Park in 1975, its weight is 16,37 carats.
