Israeli Attorney General orders a criminal case against Netanyahu

The Attorney General of Israel instructed the police to launch a criminal investigation into the country's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, сообщает TV channel nana10.
According to the channel, we are talking about bribery and fraud. These cases are allegedly connected with the financing of Netanyahu’s election campaign. The independent пишетthat the prime minister is suspected of receiving a million dollars as a bribe from French businessman Arno Mimran, who is currently serving a prison sentence of 8 for fraud. During the trial, Mimran stated that in 2009, he donated money to the election campaign of the current Israeli prime minister.
Surrounded by the Israeli prime minister, the decision of the Prosecutor General was called nonsense.
“Since Netanyahu’s victory in the last election and even earlier, hostile elements have made heroic attempts to overthrow him with the help of false accusations against him and his family,” said representative Netanyahu.
It is noted that the decision to start a case was made after 9 months of preliminary verification, as a result of which the police collected enough evidence to initiate a criminal investigation.
