ApprenticeNYC is a paid, full-time, on-the-job training program that helps professionals find employment in New York City.

The CNC machine tool training program provides 10 classroom weeks and 62 on-the-job training weeks with employers in the advanced manufacturing sector.

To take part in the program, experience is not necessary, but the applicant must be 18 years old and older, he must be a resident of New York and possess a diploma or equivalent high school graduation.

CNC machine operator apprentices are expected to work with computer numerical control (CNC) of heavy machinery—from installation to operation—to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic, or other materials.

Starting fee as a student is $ 15 per hour. As the student acquires more skills, his salary rises.

For consideration of the application the applicant must complete an application.

After receiving your application you will be contacted for further steps:

1. Attend the required information session.
2. Complete a series of evaluation tests and interviews.
3. After ten weeks, each student will start working on the staff of his employer in New York for on-the-job training.
