Pause quarantine plan introduced in New York: what it means and who it will affect

The Pause Plan is a point-by-point order adopted to ensure the unified safety of New York State. According to the document, all non-essential businesses were required to close their offices starting at 20:00 on Sunday, March 22.

This plan was presented on Friday, March 20, by New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Here are 10 points of the plan Break:

1. All non-essential businesses in the state are closed, effective 20:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22;
2. All optional meetings of people are canceled or postponed - regardless of the number of participants and the reason for the meeting: parties, various celebrations or other social events;
3. Mostly the most important professions can go out into the street;
4. The so-called "social distance" begins to be practiced. This means that you should keep a distance of 1,8 meters from other people;
5. Employees of enterprises and organizations providing essential services to the population must maintain a distance from others - at least 1,8 meters;
6. Citizens should not come close to other people, avoid close contacts; outdoors, it is recommended not to touch surfaces that anyone else could have previously touched;
7. Try not to use public transport unless absolutely necessary; you also need to keep a distance from other people if you use a bicycle for movement - at least 1,8 meters;
