New York will host a concert for the centenary of Russian-American relations

In New York, at Lincoln Center, 17 November, at 20: 00 will be held rare Concert of pianist Jonathan Depery and baritone Frank Mathisdedicated to the 100 anniversary of the Russian-American relations.

Famous musicians will perform the Russian vocal poem “Petersburg,” authored by Soviet composer Georgy Sviridov. The author wrote the poem over the years 20 and finished it only in 1995.

The poem contains Alexander Blok’s poems written between January 1901 and September 1914. They describe the period of the 1905 revolution of the year, which ended in a world war that changed the fate of Russia and Europe.

The concert is organized with the support of Gotham Arts and the Foundation for the Revival of Classical Culture. More information can be found at Online or on the page in Facebook.
