The award recognizes the outstanding successes of women leaders in developing their communities, strengthening the values of Zionism, and expanding immigration opportunities in Israel.
According to her, according to the results of a large-scale study conducted by the Department for Supporting Repatriation of GUS, it is women who most often decide to move their family to another country. She emphasized that one of the most important tasks of the Organization is to support such women already in Israel and to create conditions in which newly arrived families would feel comfortable and be able to live with dignity.
By the way, among the delegation members of one of the youngest and relatively recent migrants to Israel was businesswoman Elizabeth Mayofis. The family-owned company she founded successfully produces organic food products that are sold worldwide. Tahini, spreads, sauces, matzo prepared according to thousand-year-old traditional recipes are very popular, and date syrup from this company in 2016 became the first Israeli food product included in the Michelin-based Try the World international catalog.
Elizabeth shared her experience of moving from Moscow to Israel, emphasizing how important it was for her to study Hebrew without which, she believes, it would be much more difficult to succeed in Israel.
