In New York, more and more people are shooting at random passersby: the number of victims is growing

Passersby received gunshot wounds in meaningless shooting on Sunday, June 23, in the Bronx. This is the last of a series of cases where the victims of gunshot wounds are passers-by on the streets of New York.

This incident was the seventh in this month, when random people were the victims of the shooting. As a result, the total number of victims of such shooting increased to 10 people, police said.

On Sunday, June 23, the suspect opened fire while riding a bicycle, injuring an 17-year-old boyfriend, an 26-year-old woman and an 26-year-old man. It is expected that they will fully recover from their injuries.

The suspect, wearing a black hoodie, threw the bike and fled after the incident.

If the police succeed in arresting him, he will become the fourth person who was detained for having opened fire on innocent people in New York. Three others have already been arrested for shooting passers-by earlier. The first such incident occurred in the Bronx 1 June, then a similar shooting occurred in Bushwick 4 June, followed by incidents in Queens and the Bronx 6 June, 7 and 10 June in Manhattan.

According to police sources, seven people were injured and two were killed - all as a result of indiscriminate shooting on the streets of New York.

Some were caught in the crossfire of two people shooting at each other, including an 7-year-old boy in the Bronx, while others suffered while shooting the attackers at passers-by. It is not clear what caused the Sunday incident.

Police are investigating a similar case in Brooklyn, when 7 June shooter at Citi Bike shot two people in the legs.
