New York Lawyers for the Public Interest (NYLPI) offers free assistance to immigrants in the preparation of documents for naturalization.

The organization launched a “hot line”, which immigrants can call to register for the next conference, during which lawyers will help them fill out the application, writes AMNY.
In this way, the NYLPI hopes to help immigrants who are unable to pay for legal naturalization services.
“Our main goal is to ensure that these services are equally available to all immigrants in New York,” a spokeswoman for the organization said.
By calling the hotline number - 212-225-4400 - immigrants can speak with volunteer attorneys who will determine whether each individual caller is eligible for naturalization. Basic conditions required to apply for naturalization: the applicant for American citizenship must be at least 18 years of age; he must be a legal permanent resident of the United States who has had a green card for at least 5 years; the applicant must pay taxes and reside in the state or county where he is applying for naturalization for at least three months.
A similar hotline already operated in New York in 2017, when more than 1300 people called it; in 2018 it will be open until April 13.
The first conference on assistance to immigrants will take place on April 21, lawyers will discuss one situation with each client and help them fill out an application for the Citizenship and Immigration Service. The lawyers will also provide materials and resources, using which you can prepare for the naturalization test.
