February 22, the New York Metro (MTA), has approved repair contracts for several stations in the city, which could lead to their closure for weeks or even months.
In total, the reconstruction and repair will be carried out at eight stations in Manhattan and the Bronx, reports Time-out.
Work will take place at 34-th Street – Penn Station; at stops F and M on 23-rd Street; at Sixth stop on 28-th Street; at stop F on 57-th Street; at the Third stop on 145-th Street; at stops B and D on 167-th Street and 174-th – 175-th Streets.
In total, these stops on average on weekdays serve more than 250 000 passengers, according to the 2016 data of the year.
