In New York, dozens of people were taken to hospital because of drugs.

In New York, more than 25 people were hospitalized due to a reaction to synthetic marijuana, known as K2.

WABC-TV reports that police responded to a massive overdose in Brooklyn Bedford-stuyvesant on Saturday. The police did not make any arrests, however, they began searching for the man who had distributed K2.

The police department recalled that in the 2016 year, due to an overdose of 2, a 33 person was hospitalized.

K2 is the name of a synthetic compound that mimics the effects of THC, the most psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. The drug can be many times as potent as the THC in marijuana. The man-made drug is a mixture of hundreds of chemicals, often called cannabinoids because they affect the same brain cell receptors as the main ingredient in marijuana.

Recall that the Manhattan District Attorney (DA) Cyrus Vance Jr. announced that his office refuses to accept cases of smoking and storing a small amount of marijuana since 1 August.
