In New Jersey, two dogs died after procedures in Petsmart
In New York, two dogs died, and one was mutilated after the owners brought them to the grooming procedure (caring for the animal’s hair and skin) in PetSmart.
According to NBC, Daniel DiNapoli was shocked when employees PetSmart Flemington reported that her bulldog, Scruffle, died an hour later, after she brought his December 29 procedure.
«PetSmart refuses to answer any questions, they say they are investigating. We asked to speak to the groomer and wanted to know what happened to the dog an hour before he died. But they refuse to give us information,” DiNapoli said.
The second woman, Tara Fiet, says her dog Ranger died two days after visiting PetSmart. And David Balduk's dog after visiting PetSmart there was a back injury.
В PetSmart regretted the deaths of Skraffle and Ranger, but noted that “associate participants followed all the rules and procedures” when working with both puppies.
“Based on the investigation and individual circumstances, we believe these incidents are not related to each other. Our thoughts are with pet owners during this difficult time,” the company said in a statement.
