10 Americans Killed in Air Crash on New Year

In Guanacaste (northwest of Costa Rica) on December 31 crashed a plane carrying 10 US citizens and two local pilots.
As a result of the accident, they all died, reports USA Today.
The Costa Rican government has not yet made public the list of the dead, since they have at their disposal only information about the passengers from the airline, and they were awaiting confirmation of the personalities of the victims from their relatives.
A family from New York said that the five dead Americans were their relatives, who went to Costa Rica to celebrate the New Year. According to them, Bruce and Irene Steinberg and their sons Matthew, William and Zachery died.
The family was actively involved in the life of the Scarsdale Jewish community (New York), where they lived, they were famous philanthropists.
The Director of the Civil Aviation Service of Costa Rica, Enio Cubillo, said that the airline’s charter flight Nature Air took off near 12: 00 31 December from Punta Islita and headed to the capital of Costa Rica, San Jose, but suffered a crash. The cause of the accident is being investigated. According to him, the pilot on the flight was “very experienced”.
Nature Air has not yet commented on the situation.
