4 Russians arrested in Norway: they filmed military installations
Four Russians - three men and one woman - were arrested in the Norwegian commune of Mosjøen. Russian citizens are charged with photographing military installations in the Nordland district, reports Voice of America.
The Norwegian police have not yet named the names of those arrested and does not explain what kind of objects they are talking about.
The detainees themselves claim that they are tourists and did not know that the objects in their photographs are forbidden to be photographed.
The court decided to keep them in custody for seven days.

This is not the first time Russians have been detained in Norway for photographing and filming secret objects. So, on October 11, a Russian citizen Vitaly Rustanovich was detained at the Storskog border checkpoint. His photographic equipment and two drones were confiscated. Rustanovich himself claims that he came to Norway for tourism purposes and did not know about the bans on drone flights. He was arrested for two weeks, the police are investigating the circumstances of the case.
Another Russian citizen was detained on October 14 at Tromso airport, also with a drone. In his photograph, in particular, hit a military helicopter. He, too, was arrested for two weeks.

After the start of a full-scale war in Ukraine, Norway banned the Russians from using drones on its territory. Recently, the technique has been repeatedly noticed near the energy infrastructure facilities of Norway and Denmark, including over gas processing plants and oil platforms.
Violation of the prohibition under Norwegian law can result in a penalty of up to three years in prison.
