In Missouri, a husband accidentally threw out his wife's ring for $ 400 thousand
Missouri resident Bernie Skitieri accidentally threw a wedding ring adorned with a 12,5 carat diamond in the trash.
Heirloom worth 400 thousand dollars.
Skitieri’s wife, Carla, the day before told him that she had left her ring in napkins in the kitchen, but in the morning Bernie forgot about it and threw the napkins with their contents in the trash.
Moreover, when he saw a garbage truck arriving at the house, Skitieri himself delivered a bag of garbage to it.
Later, noticing the loss, Carl and Bernie called the company engaged in garbage collection. They were informed that the garbage collector was already approaching the dump.
Skitieri persuaded the manager to deploy the machine and send it to the plant for recycling. They had to search through a huge pile of household waste.
Together, they managed to find a bag of garbage from Squitieri's house, and in it was a wedding ring.
“It was an indescribable feeling. It’s like winning the lottery,” said Carla.
Carla and Bernie say that Joe Evans, the garbage collection company’s manager, could easily hide the find by simply placing the ring in his pocket.
“This means there are still honest people in Missouri,” enthused Bernie Squitieri.
