Maryland Governor Larry Hogan declared a state of emergency in Howard County after a massive storm hit Baltimore, causing sudden floods in the city of Ellicott. As a result of the elements, one person went missing.

The last time such a devastating flood occurred two years ago. Then, as a result of the disaster, two people died and dozens of buildings were damaged.
Ellicott City is located in 12 miles west of Baltimore.
At the time of writing this note, several rescue operations are being carried out. Authorities called on residents to evacuate to the city center or move to a higher location, while rescue teams combed the area.
