Two women deceived a man from Massachusetts, according to him, by pocketing the money he won in the lottery - the amount was $4 million, writes New York Post.

Portuguese Joao Luis DaPonte claims that women deceived him and took a huge amount of money, taking advantage of his inability to read or speak English.
DaPonte filed suit against Maria Oliveira and Susana Gaspar in Superior Court in Bristol, Massachusetts. All three are residents of New Bedford.
The notes indicate that DaPonte does not read or speak English and that the ticket said “$ 4MIL,” which in Portuguese means $ 4000.
In a lawsuit, DaPonte claims his ticket cashed Oliveira. He suggests that she previously did the same for other people in exchange for a percentage of the winnings received.

DaPonte says that Gaspar opted for a one-time payout option of $ 2,6 million before taxes, and that Oliveira paid him (DaPonte) $ 3800 in winnings. Records show that the remaining $ 1,6 million is still in escrow until the issue is resolved.
Oliveira said she “never cashed lottery tickets for anyone,” according to the affidavit, in which she denied receiving the lottery ticket from DaPonte and the fact of transferring $ 3800 to him.
Lawyer Gaspard and Oliveira did not respond to a request for comment. Lawyer DaPonte and a representative of the lottery declined to comment.
