The first Russian charity ball will be held in Miami on November 11, three days after the election of the President of the United States. The event organizers are hoping that it will contribute to the thawing of Russian-American relations.

The initiator of the Russian Ball is the Youth Association of Prince Vladimir, a non-profit organization established in New York to implement projects for the preservation of Russian-speaking culture in North America.

“The Russian Ball will be a great cultural event for the southeast coast,” says Anastasia Gorshkova, executive director of the event. “The program will be structured in such a way that Americans will feel the power and beauty of Russian culture, and guests from Russia will be able to touch the flavor of the new geographical location of the Russian Balls.”

The creative concept of the ball, according to Gorshkova, will take into account the strong influence of Latin American culture in Florida. Along with the works of Russian classical and modern music, the rhythms of Latin will also sound.

There are at least 200 thousands of thousands of Russian-speaking Americans in the territory of Miami and the neighboring counties of South Florida. The first Russian diaspora was formed here at the beginning of the 20th century from people who fled from the 1917 revolution of the year. Over the past decades, many stars of Russian show business and sports have settled in Miami.

The main consultant of the Russian Ball in Miami will be the Vienna Ball Moscow company, which is known for holding balls in Moscow, Rome, London, Karlovy Vary and other cities.

“When organizing balls, we pay special attention to the education of young people. This is especially true for our young compatriots abroad,” explains the company’s general director Alexander Smagin. – The current generation of Russian-speaking emigration is the youth who need to touch more often the classical art of Russia, its traditions, in order to preserve the roots of the great Russian culture, not to forget the language, and to preserve a special deep internal structure, called the “Russian soul.”

All profits from the Russian Ball in Miami, which is scheduled to be held annually, will be directed to the activities of the Youth Association of Prince Vladimir. More than 3 thousands of Russian-speaking youth representatives regularly participate in volunteer expeditions, concerts, creative evenings and conferences.
