World champion among juniors 1990 of the year, participant of two Olympiads Igor Pashkevich died tragically in Miami, where he until recently worked as a figure skating coach.

Federation of Figure Skating Russia, published the news of the death of 44-year-old Pashkevich, the circumstances of the death of the coach does not inform.

ForumDaily contacted Tatyana Solovieva, Pashkevich's colleague, with whom they conducted a summer training camp for figure skaters.

Solovieva confirmed the information about the death, but said she could not and did not want to talk about the causes of the tragedy.

Igor Pashkevich was also the silver medalist of the European Championship 1996 of the year as part of the Russian team and the participant of the Olympic Games 1994 of the year in Lillehammer, Norway, where he took the place of 15.

Since 1997, Pashkevich has performed in official competitions for Azerbaijan, taking 16 a place at the 1998 Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan, and then moved to the United States and participated in professional tours.

Among the skaters with whom Pashkevich worked, was the champion of the Olympic Games 2014 of the year in team competitions Yulia Lipnitskaya.

Pashkevich was a member of the coaching staff of ex-coach Lipnitskaya Eteri Tutberidze. Since November 2015, Lipnitskaya has been training with the Olympic champion Alexey Urmanov.

In addition, Igor Pashkevich worked with American Bulgarian figure skater Angela Nikodinov.

In January, 2005, the Pashkevich family, and the Nikodinovs had an accident that claimed the life of the figure skater's mother. Pashkevich and Angela Nikodinov, who no longer returned to the ice, were injured.

Recently, Igor Pashkevich worked as a trainer at the Palm Beach Ice Works ice center in Palm Beach.
