A man is shot dead in a Target store in Brooklyn
An armed man who was being chased by a group of people armed with machetes shot and killed a man in the Target store in the City Point Mall in Brooklyn just a few minutes before the outlet closed.
The incident occurred around 23: 30 7 November, the fighter broke into the store, trying to escape from the four men who pursued him after a dispute that arose between them in a shopping center, writes NBC.
25-year-old Carlton Spencer from the group of pursuers tried to get close to the shooter from the side to grab him, but the fighter turned and fired at the man in the chest. According to police, Spencer was not armed.
The other three pursuers tried to leave the mall, but they were soon taken into custody. The shooter was also arrested, but the police have not yet named the names of the detainees.
After the incident, Spencer was taken to hospital, but doctors could not save his life. According to the police, he had problems with the law, his last arrest occurred just a few days before the shooting incident.
After the incident, Target was immediately closed and evacuated. Employees and buyers were not injured.
The investigation continues. A spokesman for Target said that the store in which the crime occurred, will be closed throughout the day on Thursday.
