Ukrainian doctors captured by Islamic State released in Libya

In Libya, 13 Ukrainian doctors who were held by the extremist group “Islamic State” were released.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin said that the doctors were transported to the Libyan city of Ben Jawad.
“We are in constant contact with them,” the Foreign Minister noted in his office. "Twitter".
Many Ukrainian doctors worked in Libya during the time of Muammar Gaddafi. Some of them remained in the country after his murder and aggravation of the conflict.
In March last year, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported that 15 Ukrainian doctors, who had previously been captured by Islamic State militants along with their colleagues from the Philippines, were released in the Libyan city of Sirte.
Prior to this, medical spouses from Ukraine were kidnapped in Libya, but they managed to free them.
