In Las Vegas, a man climbed onto an airplane wing and fell down
The man was taken into custody after he climbed onto the wing of an aircraft preparing for takeoff in Las Vegas and fell down, writes CNN.
The man was taken into custody after climbing onto the wing of an Alaska Airlines plane at Las Vegas airport on Saturday, December 12, an airport spokesman said.
Flight 1367 from Las Vegas to Portland was preparing to take off from McCarran International Airport when the pilot spotted a person walking towards the plane and notified the control tower, Alaska Airlines said in a statement.
A spokesman for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and airport officials took him into custody, airport spokesman Joe Rachel told CNN.
According to Rachel, the man jumped over the fence and was spotted by airport staff around 13:40 pm PST.

The video, taken by the passenger, shows a man sitting and walking on the wing. He then removes his socks and shoes before attempting to climb onto the winglet (the upwardly curved end of the wing) of the Boeing 737. As the police approach the man, he falls off the winglet and falls onto the asphalt below.

The police took the man into custody and took him to a medical facility, Rachel said.
The plane returned to the gate for a full check after the incident, Alaska Airlines said in a statement.
According to the Alaska Airlines website, the flight was scheduled to depart at 12:30, but due to a delay, it departed at 16:48 pm.
