In Colorado, a family was kicked out of the plane due to the lack of a mask on a two-year-old child
A Colorado woman said that she, her husband and child were taken off a United Airlines flight after their two-year-old daughter refused to wear a mask. According to the mother, the experience was "absolutely traumatic" and "very humiliating." Writes about it Fox News.
On Friday, December 11, Elise Orban filmed a video of a crew member talking to her husband as he tries to put a mask on their daughter. The video, which Orban posted on Twitter, shows her husband revealing that he holds a mask on his daughter's face. This tweet has received tens of thousands of likes and retweets.
“We are United premium members, so we have flown many times, even during the pandemic, with our two-year-old,” Orban said. “We flew in just two months ago because our whole family lives on the East Coast, and this is the only way for them to see their granddaughter. But this time it was different."
She went on to say that "the staff were rude from the start."
“They didn’t warn us about anything, they didn’t work with us, they didn’t ask us questions, they didn’t do anything that could help the situation,” Orban added. “It was like, ‘Okay, your two-year-old is not complying. You guys are leaving the plane."
She went on to say that she had "never been so confused in my life," adding that she thought "everyone else on the plane was just looking at it and thinking, 'What's going on?'"

Orban explained that when she and her husband boarded the plane, the flight attendant immediately asked how old their daughter was and demanded that she wear a mask since she is over two. Orban said they asked for a mask and the flight attendant gave them one before they went to their seats.
“The flight attendants stopped talking to us after that,” Orban said. “They just walked by and kept checking what we were doing.” It was very, very, very strange. And that was the only communication we had with any of the crew members.”

“The next step was a visit from a supervisor who said we needed to get off the plane,” she continued.
In a statement sent to Fox News, a United Airlines spokesperson said, “The health and safety of our employees and customers is our highest priority, so we have a tiered set of policies, including requiring everyone on board aged XNUMX and over to wear a mask. These procedures are not only supported by the guidelines of the CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] and our partners at the Cleveland Clinic, but they are also the same for all major airlines. The spokesman also noted that the Orban family was not banned from flying with the airline.
Fox News TV presenter Will Cain asked Orban if her frustration was with "politics, with the flight attendants, or more with where we are as a society when it comes to these kinds of situations?"
“Definitely with all that,” she replied.
“My husband and I are both immigrants. We came from Europe and we grew up in a very different country and coming here was just a huge blessing, you know, living the American dream and living in a free America,” she added. “I just have to say this past year has been a huge PTSD experience for us and very, very scary with everything that's been going on.”
