In Canada, began a boycott of goods from the United States because of the antics of trump
Canadians began to refuse to buy oranges from Florida, bourbon from Kentucky and California wine.
Residents of Canada announced a boycott of US goods sold in the country, which was the result of a “war of words” that broke out between the leaders of the two countries, writes TASS with reference to Canadian media.
This “patriotic movement,” notes CTV, was a manifestation of Canadians’ reaction to the verbal reproaches that were exchanged after the conclusion of the recent G7 summit by US President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Last Saturday, the TV channel recalls, Trump said that he had ordered his representatives not to sign the final communiqué of the Canadian Group of Seven summit, in which he took part. As justification for his decision, the White House leader cited Trudeau’s “false statements” at a press conference following the summit and the fact that Ottawa is imposing large tariffs on US farmers, workers and companies. According to Trump, after he left the summit, Trudeau said that "the American tariffs were insulting" and he "will not allow himself to be pushed around."
