In California, a tourist photographed a lightning strike

A tourist from Austria, who went to the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California, survived after a lightning strike, in addition, he managed to take a picture of her.
The man received severe burns all over his body and moved with great difficulties, doctors helped him to get on the rescue helicopter, writes Gismeteo.
At the moment of impact, the man photographed, his phone survived the discharge, and in the preserved photograph you can see a bright orange-white band, which is the lightning that struck him.

The tourist and his girlfriend came from Austria and headed to the Squaw Valley in the United States with a friend from Fairfield, California. Friends of the victim heard a loud crash and saw a flash of light over Tinker Nobk, after which they called rescuers.
After stabilization of the condition of the man in the hospital, he was transferred to the Burn Center of the University of California at Davis for further treatment.
